The Embassy at the Armed Forces Veterans Stakeholders Forum
The Embassy of Health and Wellness took part in the Armed Forces of Nigeria Veterans Stakeholders Forum, themed "The Nigerian Armed Forces Veterans in the Next Decade."
21 July 2026 · By The Embassy of Health and Wellness

The Embassy of Health and Wellness has partnered with the Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) to deliver the Health & Wellness Capacity Strengthening Programme, themed "Building Resilient Leaders for National Defence."
The programme takes a wellness-centred approach to emergency preparedness and response, training officers, faculty, and staff in a structured sequence — scene safety, assessment, life-saving actions, emergency activation, and handover — rather than reactive, panic-driven responses.
Sessions equip participants with advanced medical preparedness, mental resilience, preventive health systems, and emergency response capabilities, with the aim of strengthening leadership performance and institutional readiness across the College.
Training has included hands-on emergency-response practice, including CPR and first-aid simulation with training manikins, delivered on-site at the Army War College.
The programme extends the Embassy's wider work across Nigeria's security institutions, which now integrates 7 security institutions and reaches all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Note
This partnership is newly announced. Additional programme details, dates, and outcomes will be added as they are confirmed.
